Wartime jewish history in Bordeaux
Inside Bordeaux's gorgeous Synagogue

I have developed a menu of tours on the theme of Jewish heritage in our region. In Bordeaux, I offer a full day or two half-day visits in the City (there’s so much to see!). And our Synagogue is beautiful.

Or out in the nearby suburb of Talence, we can follow in the footsteps of 4 important families of Jewish origin: Dassault, Peixotto, Gradis and Raba.

Visitors to the coast can join me for a Jewish tour day in lovely Arcachon, which is also possible as a day trip from Bordeaux. We’ll discover the Pereire Brothers and other Jewish stories in this pretty seaside town.

Wine lovers can discover the history of the Chartrons neighbourhood of Bordeaux, with themed wine tours included to complete the day. I often choose chateaux who also make kosher wines, building on my experience of managing this process at a St Emilion Grand Cru winery.

I am currently researching an additional tour of Bayonne, which also has a rich Jewish history, including in the chocolate industry!
