​The Bordeaux region has more than 6,000 wine estates and advance planning is important. Most wineries at all levels require an appointment. So please contact me well in advance of your trip and I will organise it all for you. I suggest visiting no more than 3 or 4 Châteaux per day. My job is to ensure that you will experience a range of visits that cover different aspects of Château life, during a day or several days of visits with me. I will put the regions and subregions in context for you, explaining at whatever level you require and sharing with you my experience. And it will be fun!

 

I really believe that there has never been a better time to visit Bordeaux. There is so much drive at properties at all levels from the small Châteaux that I spend much time getting to know for you and also at the famous estates I can access too. The last 20 years have seen a revolution in sustainable agriculture, organic & biodynamic work and deep understanding of the individual micro-terroirs of each estate and then translating this farm work into precision wines. We are of course world famous for our top 200 or so classed estates but I truly believe we are also unbeatable at the 8-30€/bottle level … come visit to be convinced!
