Great show : Bassins de Lumières, Submarine Base, Bordeaux
If the sun stops shining for a day, we suggest you take in one of the most breathtaking exhibitions in Bordeaux that will be a delight for all the family. We went to the first show between lockdowns in 2020. I had originally bought the tickets for Phil for Valentine’s day but we had to wait a couple of months before we could go. St Emilion, Bastide towns & markets
The South West of France has about 350 bastide towns: “new towns” created in the XIIIth & XIVth centuries, they are planned around a large central market square but each one has its own identity. St Emilion is a must see, a world heritage site and also surrounded by some of the most famous vineyards in the world. Eleanor of Aquitaine is considered by many to have been the most powerful and enlightened woman of her age, if not the entire medieval era. She is pivotal to the history of our region.
